Rental Charges
All machine rentals require a $1200 damage security deposit that will be held on a credit card and will be released in 5-7 business days provided that there are no damages to the machine and renter follows signed contract. Renter is required to purchase an additional liability only insurance policy at $15 a day, this covers damages occurred to others' properties. Other charges include Hatfield McCoy passes, helmet rentals, and other riding gear.
Riding Policy
All machines are to ride on Hatfield McCoy trails only! If a machine were to break down, or you were to get lost, we will be able to find you on marked Hatfield McCoy trails. You must follow all Hatfield McCoy trail rules. All occupants of our rentals are required to purchase a Hatfield and McCoy trail pass. In addition, renters must wear DOT approved helmets as well.
Weather Policy
ATV's are through rain or shine! The weather in West Virginia can change hourly from 80 degrees and sunny to 50 degrees and raining. Make sure you bring appropriate clothing. There will be no refunds due to weather conditions. We have no control over the weather!
Damage Deposit

$1200.00 Damage Deposit on all machines is refundable after machines are cleaned and inspected by WV ATV Resort, no damage has occurred, and all contracts have been followed. If damages do occur, you the customer are responsible for ANY and ALL damages.

Refund Policy
Reservation Refunds:
Cancelation must be at least 14 days prior to rental date to receive a deposit refund. Anything within that time frame is a forfeiture of the deposit.

Break Down Refunds:
Renter must notify WV ATV Resort immediately after breakdown, only refundable if breakdown is not caused by rental operator (WV ATV's discretion). We will do our best to get you another machine or fix your Side by Side promptly. These machines are mechanical and can breakdown from time to time without fault. We will do all things necessary to get you back to riding promptly.
Damages
Damage can occur in several ways. From broken plastics, bumpers, tires, rims, axles, CV boots, motor damage from sinking machines in mud holes or water above air intake, and any other possible way. If damage does occur, renter will pay ANY and ALL costs of parts and labor. If damages occur off of the Hatfield McCoy Trails, the renter will be charged the full amount of the deposit, regardless if damages do not amount to the full deposit cost, this is non-negotiable. Damages are determined by if it is a mechanical issue that could have happened without fault, or may have been caused by rough riding (WV ATV's Discretion). So please, treat these machines like "You own them".
Check-in Policy
Lodging:
Rental Period & Check-In. The term of this lease will be from Arrival Date to Departure Date. The Property will be ready for Guest’s occupancy beginning at 3:00 PM on the Arrival Date and the Property must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the Departure Date, unless otherwise agreed by Owner.
Machine Rentals:
Machines can be picked up beginning at 8:00 AM and must be returned by 5 PM the last day of the rental period. If rental machine is late, there is a $200 late fee for the first four hours after 5 PM, any additional time after this the renter will be charged for another full day.
ATV Late Fee
Rental periods are from 8am-5pm. First 4 hours after 5pm is a late fee of $300. After 4 hours, you will be charged an additional day.
Additional Persons
Policy
Pet Policy
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY. The maximum number of persons permitted to stay in the property is limited to 6 guests. There will be an extra charge of $25 per guest, per night, over 6. Guest(s) will be charged without notice for additional persons staying in the property and not disclosed to staff.
Helmet Policy
Hatfield McCoy requires the usage of a DOT approved helmet. We have helmets for purchase in our store, and we have helmets available to rent for $10 in our office.
Pets are welcome on our property as well as lodging for a fee. Large pets will require a one time fee of $50, smaller pets will require a one time fee of $25. If damages occur during the rental period due to pets or excessive mess is left after the guest checks out, there will be a cleaning fee of $50-$100 and/or the cost to fix any damages that occurred. If a pet on the property shows any signs of aggression, you will be asked to leave the property immediately for our safety. It is strongly encouraged that pets are to be in a crate if left inside lodging areas unattended.
Machine Insurance
Insurance is liability ONLY.
Customers are required to purchase insurance at an additional $15 a day to be covered.
This means machine renters are responsible for ANY and ALL damages that occur to WV ATV's rental machines.
Additional Fees
Additional Fees to be aware of: Hatfield McCoy Passes, Helmet rentals, liability insurance, and any other riding gear you may want.
